STAR WARS- FORCE AWAKENS

How many of us work in this industry because as a child we were captured by the magic of the original Star Wars movies?? I would say all of us in one way or the other, since George Lucas' saga gave birth of the Entertainment Industry as we know.

I had the huge honor to be part of the reboot of the Saga under the direction of JJ Abrams and Production Design of Darren Gilford and Rick Carter. It was an amazing experience to be part of a huge talented team and to be able to touch ship designs that influenced a whole generation of artists.

TIE FIGHTER

I was tasked in updating the original Tie Fighter, which should be still very true to the iconic original design but updated enough to look next gen. I also had to design the outside and interior cockpit of the Two-Seat Tie Fighter which Finn and Paul use to escape in the beggining of the movie.

X-WING

I had the Honor to explore some initial ideas for the super iconic X-Wing. Ultimately the Design I has to develop further was based on Ryan Church's illustration modifying his version to fit Darren Gilford's vision

HAN SOLO's FREIGHTER

I also helped explore some version's for Han Solo's Freighter, which was tons of fun!

HAN SOLO's FREIGHTER- CARGO AREA

Along with the very talented Tom Tenery, I was tasked to figure out the overall design of the Cargo Area of Han's Freighter. It was fun to see some of the shots in the movie resembling a few of my illustrations!

BATTLE AXE

One idea that was also removed from the movie was a giant ship that would penetrate the Star Killer Base's Force Field. Definitely one of the coolest design I had the chance to explore!

SNOW SPEEDER

Some of my design explorations for the Snow Speeder which was part of a sequence deleted from the final movie. After a few versions the Production Designers asked us to base our design on the super taleneted James Clyne's version
